About Lynchburg Well Water
Lynchburg Well Water is a free referral service for homeowners in Lynchburg and nearby Central Virginia communities. We are not a water treatment contractor, laboratory, or well driller.
Our role is to help you take the next step
We provide practical information about common water questions and collect requests for introductions to independent local providers. We do not perform testing, diagnose your water, sell equipment, set contractor prices, or perform installations. Providers are solely responsible for their recommendations, quotations, work, and ongoing service.
A referral request costs you nothing and does not require a purchase. A provider's in-home screening, a certified laboratory test, and a treatment installation are different services. Confirm what is included, what may have a charge, and whether the proposed provider serves your property before scheduling.
Where requests can be made
Our intended referral area includes Lynchburg, Forest, Bedford, Amherst, Madison Heights, Rustburg, and Appomattox, along with Bedford, Campbell, Amherst, and Appomattox counties. A place name on this website does not mean we have an office there or guarantee an available appointment. Provider coverage must be confirmed for your actual town or ZIP.
Sources, independence, and practical limits
Our educational material links to Virginia Tech's Household Water Quality Program, the Virginia Department of Health, and the Virginia Code. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by those organizations. Their guidance helps explain testing and treatment questions; it does not endorse this referral service or any independent provider. Verify credentials for the actual work before hiring. Virginia law addresses contractor licensing and certification for water well systems providers; requirements and exceptions depend on scope. We do not display an invented license, certification, company history, street address, review, or provider credential. Va. Code § 54.1-1103. Va. Code § 54.1-1129.
Current request handling
Use the request form for non-urgent referral inquiries. Requests are saved server-side for referral handling. When configured, email notifies the service operator on a best-effort basis. A saved request must not be treated as a sent referral or confirmed appointment.
Read our privacy policy to understand stored request data and our terms for the boundaries of this service. If you suspect unsafe drinking water or have a failed bacteria report, seek advice from your health department or laboratory rather than waiting for this service.
Request a free water test
The referral is free. Confirm screening scope and availability with the independent provider. Requests are saved; provider forwarding is not enabled yet.
Consent to calls and texts is optional. See our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
